# Cricket: Eng vs NZ, England pass 400 for the first time ever

Phenomenal recovery, and amazingly, Bairstow’s winning innings didn’t include any sixes - obviously his plan was to keep the ball down as much as possible. He was lucky not to be caught a few overs from the end, which would almost certainly have sunk England as it would have been a lot to ask from Rashid, Wood and Finn. Didn’t think we had a prayer with five men out cheaply!
