Crime and 'Punishment'

Eonwe, undue leniency makes me despair whichever country has it (yes including my own). I’m sure you could find many examples of travesties of British justice. They piss me off and make me wish I lived elsewhere too…but then I get over it.

Hyperbole anyone?

alright I retract all general opinions. Can I still have this as an unduly lenient sentence?

Maybe I’m missing something, but I didn’t see him making generalizations.

What the fuck does a single, apparently lenient court sentence have to do with the desirability of a country as a place of residence?

Is their crime rate worse than the UK? Are the streets less safe? Is mayonnaise so bad?

Plus, fucking hell, give me a break – Bolton vs well just about anywhere? Give me just about anywhere. Anytime. What a fucking shithole.

Please let me know the ages of the perpetrators, their past criminal records (if any), the normal range of Belgian justice system punishments for the offenses that they pled to or were found guilty of, if they spent any time in jail awaiting trial, and … well, actually all of the information that the sentencing judge would have had available. Otherwise, pal, all you’re doing is blowing smoke out your ass.

I work with juvenile probation officers and we are housed in the same building as juvenile detention.

The majority of our clients would much rather spend 400 hours in juvenile detention than 400 hours doing community service work.

We usually have them doing some kind of manual labor for the city or county. Of course, we also have then go to the humane society. Someone needs to clean out those cages.

Builds character.

One of them could have backed into the chair he was sleeping in, knocking him out of it and in the fall he was knocked out.

Or they could have beaten him to unconsciousness with soiled baby jesus buttplugs.

But were the chips battered?
