I think one of the best things about CM is how accurate their location shots are: the style of the suburban house of the week tends to match what you would expect for their purported location. Outdoor shots tend to be at least plausible. And they do a surprisingly good job having 1000 different police stations all look different, all match the community they are part of, and all seem fairly police-station like. ---

I had barely even heard of it, and a couple of years ago, maybe it was just last year, their location scout knocked on my door. She loved my house, wanted to film here, and we got to talking about the show. She talked about Shemar Moore being so dreamy, and when I watched it I instantly got googly over Gubler/Reid, while recognizing that Moore is ludicrously beautiful. They were going to shoot at my house for the episode with the three construction workers, which I think was set in DC or Virginia, but I know wasn’t set in LA. ---

By the way, I just watched last week’s episode with my CI buddy and we loudly agreed that it was easily the worst episode in the history of the series. The writing was horrendous in every possible way, and it’s always a bad idea to put Morgan at the center of anything, because Moore is as bad as he is pretty, and it sure doesn’t help to put such dreck in his mouth. I’m having a really hard time sticking with this show because the writing is getting more and more ridiculous.
