His younger self, as I recall, was about eight or ten and (I think) was at one point dozing in the back seat of a car while he and his mom were canoodling or pre-canoodling (his mom at one point gives him a lock of her red public hair) in the front seat. My memories are a bit hazy, in part from a reflexive effort at suppression. ---

I did not expect a collection of thread replies such as these!!:eek: It’s only fair that I make a few points here quick: 1. I posted this thread for an answer to the question I asked in the OP–no more, no less. 2. It is not possible for me to see the movie at this time. My video player is not working, and I have no car now, and so I cannot take the machine to get it repaired. 3. I have a low boiling point, which is why I walked out on the movie the way I did when it showed in the movie house. I considered that to be the wise thing to do, rather than test my temper and see how much more time it would take before I had an outburst that would get me thrown out or arrested. 4. Regardless of the movie’s (obvious) appeal to so many other people, it went over with me like a lead balloon. That should come as no surprise to anyone who knows me, as movies I have seen back to 1957 have failed to appeal to me (I was eight years old then). 5. The only movies I’ve seen since 1965 that I thought were worth watching were _Silent Movie, Young Frankenstein,_ and _Amadeus._ ---

if movies upset you so much why do you read up on them and post questions to confirm if they’re as bad as you heard, etc? why not just ignore them? do the things you want to do? life’s too short ---

_Starship Troopers: Hero of the_– No, I can’t do that to him. He wouldn’t believe me anyways. 😃 Well, two of the films you liked were Mel Brooks films. Have you seen any of his other stuff? Blazing Saddles is a classic, and History of the World Part I is a fun classic (drinking game: Take a shot every time you see a joke or a song from History of the World Part I that later got recycled in Robin Hood: Men In Tights:D) ---
