"Gosh, these seats are awfully sticky! Hey, wait a minute … "

> What I don’t understand is how he gets the casts he does.

He has a talent for finding actors with a few weeks off between better pictures and casting them. Seriously, that’s what determines his cast: who’s immediately availiable. The actors probably just enjoy the paycheck and think it’s better than sitting around the house.

Gotta love this paragraph from [Ken Hanke](http://www.mountainx.com/movies/b/bloodrayne.php):

> Of course, Boll is not directly responsible for the screenplay or its hysterically clunky dialogue. That charge must be laid at the feet of Guinevere Turner, who has some more credible credits to her credit – like co-authoring American Psycho. Much bafflement has been expressed over Ms. Turner’s work here. I have a theory: Close contact with Boll causes brain cells to leap into the sea with lemming-like tenacity. This could go a long way toward explaining the performances in BloodRayne, too.

Or possibly the theater showed pornos recently.

What surprises me is that this video game (supposedly) is about a sexy female vampire killing Nazis. I’ve never seen or played it, but how could that make for a bad movie? It sounds like it could be a cross between Hellboy and Indiana Jones, only with more blood and sex appeal. A movie like that could hardly fail! But apparently Uwe Boll changed the setting to medieval times, getting rid of the “sexy female vampire kills Nazis” hook. Bummer.

The problem stems from trying to watch the movie while sober. The only way to watch Uwe Boll films is with a lot of alcohol.

BTW, is Newfoundland ever pronounced “New Found Land?” I’ve always heard it more like “New fun lun(d),” but Tara Reid’s scientist character pronounced it the first way, and I was curious if that’s an acceptable alternate pronunciation.

There wasn’t really even anything there that alcohol could enhance. One would have to drink so much to make it entertaining, that pretty much any random video images would have the same effect. You might as well put on Home Shopping Network.
