Critique My Website Please

I sent you an email, and thanks for the generous offer! If you weren’t about 8,000 miles away, I would suggest meeting for a beer…

a) There’s a broken image link between “So Easy, Even An Attoeny Can Use It!” and “© Copyright 2006”. Blue box with a question mark in it. It appears that it’s trying to be “Image373.gif”.

b) I don’t know if you intended the literal words “Text Box” to appear to the left of “So Easy, Even An Attorney Can Use It!”, or not, but they’re there. I would recommend against that.

c) The words “Case Management Software Designed Specifically For Your Needs” is in an olive green box with a thin blue border. The olive green box and blue border cut off the top of “So Easy, Even An Attorney Can Use It!”.

I like your background image. Pleasantly inobtrusive.

Since you’re selling software, you might want to list system requirements. Or should I just assume it’s going to run just fine under Yellow Dog Linux on a PowerPC box, etc?

Also, does it export and import data to/from Excel, tab-delimited text, FileMaker, Access, SQL, Oracle, PDF, Blackberry?

I have accepted a generous offer of professional help for the site, and hopefully all of those glitches will disappear - although I don’t see any of those problems, but I also use Internet Explorer and run everything through Windows.

And yes, I considered going into the specs of the program on the site, but then decided to do that on a one-on-one basis as people respond and email for more info. Most, if not all, of the features you mention can be incorporated, but the biggest selling point so far has been the utter lack of additional bells and whistles. If someone wishes to add another feature - fine. However, the biggest compliments I get are from people who appreciate the fact that every feature, function and button to click is something they want and will use every day.

You know that television ad for people who just want to use their cell phone to make and receive calls? They don’t want to play Tetris, read MSNBC or have pretty wallpaper on their cells…they just want a phone. Using that analogy, the people who like my program just want the phone, and nothing else to confuse them. We can always add features later - but seldom have I been asked to do so.
