Short version:
I like stills.
I like to put out stuff to draw critters in.
Back on the mountain I had better & more critters, dogs would come by but we only had cats and we put them up at night.
If you want to catch critters on a trail or … use invisible LED IR flash. The regular does not bother critters for me.
I started with Moultrie camera ( cheap ) and it died here after we moved.
I have a Browning now and I really like it.

Beautiful woodpeckers! I should get a suet feeder too - been thinking about moving the camera to the back of the property anyway.
They are a lot of fun and you set them about 10 feet or so from the camera & sort of off top the side so they are not in the way for shots of other ground critters.
