Don’t be rear-ended by a armoured truck. Trying to retrieve a grand or two of your own money blowing in the breeze as cops converge should have been a scene in a Burt Reynolds movie.

Yeah I’d skip the hoard of cash. No reason for that. There’s a helluva lot of cool stuff to see between Louisiana and Oregon so it’s good you’re sort of taking your time. The important thing is to not fall asleep at the wheel or run out of gas. There are so many excellent scenic roads I’d skip the interstates unless you really need to put on the miles. Make sure you hit some of the national parks & monuments.
