A friend of mine has half an insane idea to do a _League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 1984_ and _LXG 2015_, using anime characters. We’re still interviewing potential league members. 😃 ---

As I mentioned on the recent Kill Bill 2 thread, I’d still like to see Elle Driver, the blinded assassin from the Kill Bills, team up with Agent Sands, the blinded corrupt CIA agent from Once Upon A Time In Mexico. The directors, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, are good friends, and I think Johnny Depp and Darryl Hannah would be great reprising their roles as two blind, bad-ass bastards OUT FOR REVENGE (or perhaps OUT FOR ONE LAST SCORE). ---

Something that struck my fancy the other day: Lord Blakeney, the little one-armed midshipman in the film _Master and Commander_, is about fourteen years old. (The film took place in 1806.) Marguerite and Percy Blakeney, the latter _alias_ “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” were married in 1791. 1806 - 1791 = 15. Jack Aubrey mentions knowing Lord Blakeney’s mother. Curiouser and curiouser… ---

A young Harry Flashman pitted against an older Richard Sharpe: Sharpe’s _tough_ but dumb, and Harry’s cowardly but _devious_. Who would win? Actually, we know Flashy served {on both sides} in the American Civil War, and Sharpe’s son turns up there in Cornwell’s truncated “Rebel” series, so the match-up isn’t inconceivable - my money’s on Flashy: the Sharpes, _pere et fils_, were too brave for their own good, while Flashy would quietly skulk behind a convenient tree and put a bullet in Sharpe’s back. ---

A group of insane women, possed by the insane _gibbering that lies in the center of the universe_ thinks that they are helping people, but the reality is far worse. It could be kind of “killer nurses” go to a different place each week and harm people. You could have the series show what they think is happening, and what is really occurring. You could also have dramatic tension of whether their superhuman strength and shared beliefs is the result of possession by a creature from before the universe began or simply a delusion. It would be a great television series, reminiscent of the Kolchak stories, which is being “brought back” by the way, as Nightstalkers. Or you could have a simple cross-over. Here, I’ll write it for you. Ok! Here goes: The brown haired one wearing full angelic uniform for this historical attempt at a peace treaty, what-ever her name is: “Oh, Cthulhu, I known it must be difficult of you to have put aside your differences and come together with us, on this, a must auspicious day, but believe me when I sa-” \* Cthulhu: “Slurppp!” \*the blond girls speech copyright of Relena Peacecraft. ---

Aubrey to do so, but I just had this happy little picture in my head of Jack and the Blakeneys going to the same events in England, inviting each other to their dinner parties, Percy giving Jack hints on subtlety, Jack letting slip some naval secrets to Percy so that the latter could pull off the Pimpernel disguise more easily, Marguerite dancing and flirting with both of them all night, but always going home with Percy and leaving Jack more than a little confused. _checks thread topic_ Yep. That’d be pretty awesome, all right.
