# CSI Fans, Why do you like it?

My wife watches them, and by default, so do I. She is a saint to put up with me when these are on. I watch the Las Vegas ones with a minimum of angst, as the first few seasons were better than what they have evolved into. The science was, uh, less unbelievable. The puns are jokes are a little too obvious now. When the golf one ended last week, both of us agreed that the whole show was too long a setup for the punchline,Don’t drive angry.

CSI:Miami is just a groan-fest for me. I can’t figure out how a crime can be discovered at 7AM (seemingly outside of Miami-Dade) and the forensics team has the ability to  
[ol]  
[li] get to the scene[/li][li] stand sideways and don shades[/li][li] gather evidence[/li][li] get back to the lab/office[/li][li] stand sideways and remove shades[/li][li] process the evidence[/li][li] get to a secondary scene[/li][li] coerce a suspect to the interogation room[/li][li] interogate suspect and posture[/li][li] get back to the lab[/li][li] process new evidence with the HAL9000[/li][li] confront suspect[/li][li] stand sideways and don shades[/li][li] get back to the crime scene[/li][li] gather evidence with equipment _just_ borrowed from NASA[/li][li] get back to the lab[/li][li] process evidence with the Large Hadron Collider[/li][li] arrest suspect in interogation room, because they confess[/li][li] stand sideways and don shades[/li][li] **Noon** ) go for lunch (sometimes I think they skip lunch and go for an afternoon coffee instead)[/ol][/li]  
I guess the Hummers allow them to time travel, as I’m sure that travel to and from the scenes and the lab would account for at least 2-1/2 hours of the day.

I suppose with the money they’ve spent on the lab facilities and computer equipment they are expected to get results quickly.
