I’ve nothing to add here except this line has been going through my head since I saw this episode: “My cooter’s pierced - want to see it?” You just don’t hear that every day. You Jorja fans be sure to catch her 20 questions in the last Playboy - with a nice photo. ---

It’s fun watching the show with my sister. She’s going to college to become a CSI. (She started two years ago and her choice of careers is not influenced by silly shows like CSI. She has clearly modeled herself after Scully from the X Files.) Anyway… As we’re going through th eshow, she’ll offhandedly point out all the minor inaccuracies. “Their hair isn’t up.” “You can’t store lum,inol in that kind of bottle, and you have to prepare it fresh.” It’s the only thing that makes the show worth watching, in my opinion. ---

It’s sometimes fun to watch and sometimes infuriating. The biggest problem beyond the paper thin plots, angst for angst’s sake angstfulness of the characters, apparently unlimited financial resources of the police department for ciminalist hardware, and insanely overinflated view of the typical investigative role of a criminalist, is the made up science where abilities are invented or incredibly exaggerated for diagnostic procedures to the point I’m expecting Levar Burton to come walking around corner and tell Grissom he’s re-configured the lab microscope’s temporal matrix to let CSI see the crime _before it happened_.
