Cuban zoo feeding live stray dogs to lions - Possible or BS?

I think the key to using dogs to handle large predators, like bear or great cat, is that you need 3+ of the dogs, who with training will do their impression of a wolfpack.
I doubt the Cuban zookeepers are tossing a half-dozen dire wolves across the fence, so I’m guessing the dogs get turned into Bear Chow, Flea Variety ™.

Man walks into pub, sees dog licking its balls.

“Wish I could do that” he says to the dogs owner

“Buy him a packet of crisps, he’ll probably let you”

This is common knowledge in Cuba. Even so the lions always look like they’re starving so I don’t think they’re getting too many dogs.

During Special Period in 1990’s many exhibits in the Zoo were closed mostly because the animals starved to death.

That detective ain’t tell a truth, he’s definately a-lyin’

<sorry it had to be said :)>

In the recent Disney release Earth, a pack of about 20 lionesses was filmed taking down a full grown elephant. They were apparently pretty desperate at the time, though.
