My puter has never yelled at me in German. My printer did talk to me in Swedish once though. That was strange. My printer is a Lexmark and it’s default language is Swedish. :eek: That’s been my reaction this morning. The mother of a retired staff member died Tuesday night. The wife of another retired staff member died last night. It appears that both will be funeralized on Saturday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I suppose I shall spend my Saturday dressed in black. I shall also be assisting my favorite local florist in meeting payroll this week. Again, :eek: ---

The Power of MMP Positive Thinking works!!! When I get back from vacation, I’ll be moving over to IT. I don’t know if I can negotiate a raise, but I’m damn well going to try. [/QUOTE] We’ll be there for nine days, and I’ve packed at least fifteen pairs of underwear. And they’re all the _good_ underwear, with the lace and the matching bras and the elastic still _inside_ the bands where it’s supposed to be, and stuff. (You’re sorry you asked now, aren’t you? :D) I think I also have enough clothes to change three times a day. And there’s still room in my suitcase. 🙂 But I’ve been warned that it can rain at any moment, so maybe I’ll use all the clothes just staying dry. ---

**Taters** , I’m glad your Mom is okay. Gas/petrol prices - I have you all beat! If I can do the currency and metric to gallon conversion properly, I pay just on $1 per gallon! \ 😃 Well, my week is drawing to a close (Sunday to Thursday working week here in the scary part of world. Not so scary, if you ask me, but mind you I quite like the Arabs, once you get used to them - heck, I married one!) My boss is not back now until next Wednesday, thank Og! I have a few more days to relax before she starts (figuratively) tweaking my nipples again about everything damned thing! I actually only got back from lunch about an hour ago - nice long naughty lunch, involving gourmet hamburgers and coconut cheesecake! I think dinner will be late tonight!!! ---

We’re trying not to schedule _anything_, so we can do what we want, when we want. The only definites so far are that I’m going to the zoo and the museums of torture, tattoos, and sex. Roomie can join me or not, as she pleases. And we’re getting tattoos, at some point. And, of course, copious posting of pictures and anecdotes from a coffeeshop with my laptop. 😃 ---

Good Moring! It’s dogpark day at the doghouse. I hate this old PC! I tried to watch that pug bowling video, but it kept st-st-st-stuttering, so I had to give up. 20th Century technology sucks. **bobbio** , BWaHahaha!! **dog** and I loved the joke. Hellcat didn’t. **swampy** , :eek: I had that happen to me. I had an assistant manager have a heart attack. then one had a car wreck. then one went out with pregnancy complications. then one went into labor on the sales floor. All this happened in the _first six weeks_ I was at Dollar Tree. **Drae** , I hope you get your raise. Do you know where the any key is on my computer? **rigs** , maybe **Drae** will give us Monkey Butlers Vol. II. **Puggy** , my mom’s last dog once did the run,skid, and thump into the kitchen door seven days in a row. ---

Congrats on the new job, **Drae**!! Glad you’re getting away from answering phones. I was a back-up phone person in my old job, and I’m so glad I don’t have to do that any more. I didn’t get too many difficult calls, but once in a while there’d be one with someone who just didn’t want to take “I don’t have that information” for an answer. Grrrr. So yeah, not answering phones is a good thing. Where do you live **DottyGD**?? I sorta remember a time when gas was $1/gallon, but it’s been a while! Glad your mother came through the surgery ok **Taters**. Good thoughts still headed her (and your) way. Keep us updated on how school’s going **rigs**. There are some things I miss about school, but I think on the whole, it’s better on the other side. 🙂 I never did say nice OP, **gt**. Glad the car stuff turned out ok. My 10-year reunion will be next summer. Not sure yet whether I’ll go. My parents are moving out of my hometown so I won’t have a place to stay. But I would like to catch up with everyone and see what they’re all doing now. Things are finally calming down around here, which is why I’m getting a chance to catch up with everyone’s lives. I think work may go back to normal now! And the new guy in my group starts Monday so that should really help things. Yay! ---

I made HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM last night. It was fab~u~lous. It was so easy it was ridiculous. I practically didn’t even measure! Two eggs, some sugar, some milk, cut up some strawberries and _voila!_ I am a dessert goddess. My opinion on the hideous clothes – why do they make sweaters with horizontal stripes for the plus-sizes? Why?? Those stripes can make even beanpoles look fat. ---

I’ve been meaning to check up on ways to make that stop. ---

Yay! for **TaterMom** being okay! And yay! for **Drae** ’s new job, with an extra yay! for not having to answer phones. I’ve done that far too much in my life; I hate it. Especially when Papa T. is working at home and the phone rings nonstop all day for him. He gets a _lot_ of phone calls. And then sits on conference calls on the speakerphone, the only one of which we have in the house is in the livingroom, so I have to tiptoe around. Speakerphones are creations of the devil. But boo! for **Swampy** ’s awful puns. Even if they did make me laugh. 😃 Loved the videos! Silly obsessive cat – I’m just grateful mine never learned to flush a toilet, or we’d be living with that all day every day. Dogs sliding on floors is more fun when they’re bigger than pugs, though; when two 75-lb dogs wipe out simultaneously going around a corner, it’s total hilarity! We’ve never set up bowling pins for them, though. I’m afflicted, apparently, with a chronic case of the Don’t Wannas this week. Yet another day where I struggle to do what I know I need to do. Can anybody give me an infusion of energy, please?
