I’m just pointing out that it’s been around for 30 some-odd years, that’s all. It still shows up on TVLand every once in awhile. The little animated kids are wearing bell bottoms, so I guess it’s fashion sense is up-to-date again. Unfortunately in two posts I have not managed to actually address the OP. For the record, I remember seeing these commercials, and I was born in '80. I tried licking one as many times as I could once; I think I got to about 40 before I got tired of counting and of licking. Remember the stars on the wrappers of some Tootsie roll pops? People used to say that if you had a star you could bring it to the store and they’d give you a free one.
