# Curious \[do guys really like bigger breasts?\]

I’m not going to argue that most men don’t, because I don’t know. That’s certainly the stereotype, but I often wonder how true it is if you were to survey every male. I know enough men for whom it’s not true that it makes me question the stereotype.

There is great wisdom in that. Emphasis on the “dumb,” as in “men can be dumb.” I sometimes pretend to be aware that my wife has lost weight because I think I’m supposed to, and then I compliment her. Half the time I’m wrong, but wrong on the right side.

It reminds me of a woman whom I had considered dating when I worked at a college. She was a big girl, but her knockers were _huge, huge, huge_! even in relationship to her figure.
So, she had been having back pain, and had them reduced. All of the guys I knew who worked there asked 1. Why she didn’t have liposuction on her stomach, or 2. Do back strengthening exercises.
Bad call, on her part, I think. There was really nothing to recommend her, after that. Big, bulky woman, with no boobs? Sayonara, baby.

Interestingly, it just occurred to me that I have no idea whatsoever what actual cup size any of my girlfriends had. I see some of you are able to rattle those off with pinpoint precision, but I really have no clue. If any of them ever mentioned it to me, it obviously went in one ear and out the other. I could try some ballpark guessing, but I’d probably be wrong, as I’m not really sure what boob size a given cup size actually corresponds to. Sure, I understand that A is small and D is big, but how small and how big? I don’t know. The best I can do in the size estimation department is “small, medium, large”.

I stand by my original comments. Breast size is totally irrelevant to me. I’m not saying this to try to come across as some hipster who’s trying to impress the ladies or anything; it’s a goddamned anonymous message board.
I can be shallow though; I love the look of a woman’s ass. That’s the part of the body that physically appeals to me. There’s something mouthwateringly gorgeous about the look of an attractive, slim butt in nice tight jeans.
See? I’m just as shallow, but breasts don’t matter at all to me.

Woman chiming in here. At my thinnest, I was a barely B (meaning I was too big for an A, but could only fit into a B if it had padding). I never had trouble finding a date, and had way more attention from men than all of my better endowed girlfriends. Of course, I was very fit, and IME “fit” trumps “big boobs” almost all of the time.

Stereotypes don’t come out of nowhere. I think the fact that it exists and influences behavior to the point of elective surgery is fairly strong evidence that it is true. You need more than just people saying they don’t like it to prove it wrong.
To be honest, you need A/B testing. Surveying won’t tell you anything. Even if you are sure you do or don’t like bigger breasts, it’s hard to distinguish your actual preferences from what you think they are.
I used to believe big breasts didn’t matter to me, but I then stumbled upon [this pic (without the cropping)](http://s4.postimg.org/7499hhti5/hotbod.jpg) on a dating site, and realized the lack of breasts would completely undo the attraction.

All of those are undeniably true. 😉
I will also say that IME, the “big boobs are better” stereotype is perpetuated at least equally by women, if not more so. I’ve had exactly one date complain about my smaller boobs, but have been openly ridiculed by lots of women. One of my dear friends in high school had a nasty habit of saying things like, “Aw, poor Lisa, she doesn’t have any boobs.” right in front of me, in front of everyone, until I started referring to her boobs as “udders.” Suddenly, she found her manners again.
Just two days ago, a tennis friend of mine who got a boob job 2 years ago, made a derisive comment to a fellow teammate who’d lost a bunch of weight (and looked fabulous), asking, “You look great, but where did your boobs go?” She said it with a smile, but it still stung. The woman in question was obviously feeling really good about herself, and then who cuts her down? Another woman, a woman old enough (in her 50s) to know better.
Honestly, I think that people with a fixation, or insecurity, with breasts, just can’t imagine that other people really don’t care all that much. And I mean that. Some people seriously don’t care.
