I really like this lady. She’s so soft spoken and quite, but knows a LOT of questions to the answers. I tuned in tonight just in time to see the group talking after the show but saw on the boards that she had won. How much did she get tonight? She was over $80,000 after two days. ---

I think she ended up with something like $108,000 for the 3 days. My wife and I were rooting for her, because we live in El Cerrito, too. 🙂 ---

Yeah, but if she’s so smart, how come a chicken beat her at tic-tac-toe? I wish she was first to buzz in on all the questions just because I like hearing her talk. She reminds me of the smart, quietly confident women I knew in my college years. I do wonder, though, if her demureness may be enhanced by too much exposure to an environment where it’s not ladylike to be too smart. ---

Yeah, this chick caught my eye too. She completely owned. I’m usually hard pressed to find someone to “play Jeopardy” with me in the break room at work, but this girl had more than a couple people huddled around. She’s charming. ---

Someone on another message board compared her voice to Molly Shannon’s and Anna Gasteyer’s (later Rachel Dratch’s) characters in the “Delicious Dish” sketches on SNL. I haven’t been able to watch her in the same way since. 🙂 ---

I was worried for a bit that Larissa might lose on Thursday. The final answer, though, was a total give-away, as compared to Wednesday’s answer about one of the largest migrations, 15 million people. I would never have figured that out and was pretty surprised that she knew it. She could be be a serious challenger to Ken Jennings’ reign. ---

Yup,I am in her fan club! What a cutie! Reminds me of Mike Tyson.(Not that I think Mike is a cutie but …well ya know…) Maybe the shy,black,female cadet from the Police Academy movies is a better example. ---

the chicken was from the iq zoo. i don’t think they are in business anymore, but it was a company run by animal behaviorists and they taught chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc. to play simple games. you’d put in a quarter or whatever and the animal would compete against you. they used to have them around tourist areas. i haven’t seen them in years–probably put out of business by peta. ---

His final bets worked out over and over . He also had a lot of final answers correct to help escape. I think no one will beat Jennings. ---

Even if you think Ken Jennings was lucky, why can’t she get lucky, too? I like her voice and calm manner, but disagree with the cuteness factor. I can’t help but think that the folks on What Not To Wear could do wonders for her. ---

I knew it was wrong, but couldn’t think of the play’s title. ---

Spoiled for those in time zones other than the east, where I imagine the show hasn’t aired yet: [spoiler]Although I’m a regular Jeopardy watcher, I hadn’t tuned in a while, but, after having seen this thread, I had to tonight. I agree with everyone’s assessment of the girl–I LOVE her too. Also, it was completely awesome how she threw away caution when she got the first Daily Double in Double Jeopardy, going for _eight_ thousand. Also, judging from the Missouri woman’s expression during Final Jeopardy, I was sure she had it and was going to outbet Larissa–thankfully, though, she’ll live on another day! I am totally rooting for this girl to become the next Ken Jennings![/spoiler] ---
