I think maybe it would be good to be a **DC-ISPLE** of someone with **ZRO␣EGO** though if you put on your license plate maybe you do a little bit of ego. `//i\\` ---

**GUAJIRA** on a worn Yaris. A name perhaps. **REDSTAR** on First Responder plate. Red Star is a chain of vape shops here but with the plate that seems unlikely. There is a [Redstar Pilots Association](https://www.flyredstar.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=910450&module_id=364042) who like to fly Russian and Chinese trainer planes. ---

It’s been a slow few days for both driving and seeing plates around here. - **FOR⎵BEN** on a golf booster plate on a electric Mercedes. Perhaps the car or plate is a gift for Benjamin the driver. Or is a tribute to the late great Ben Hogan. - **TOILET-1** on a standard plate on a Kia Sportage. I am quite certain that’s what it said. It sat right in front of me at a red light for a good long couple of minutes. The words are easy to understand. The motivation behind them leaves me utterly baffled. “You did _what?_” is the only reaction I can imagine when the owner’s spouse / SO found out. That’s also one of the very few personalized FL plates I’ve seen with a dash / hyphen in it. ---

I just hope **MIATA-II** does not mean, like most sequels, it is an inferior car. Also, I don’t think you can become a **CONQR** with a small red car. I might believe it on at least a full 4-door sedan. `//i\\` ---

Dragged myself into the office today for a meeting that I ended up canceling. At least I saw a couple interesting plates. Well, one interesting and one kind of odd. The odd one was **BINKEY 2**. Not sure what to make of it. To me a binkey is a child’s pacifier. Followed shortly thereafter by **CINAROL** which made me smile because I love cinnamon rolls! ---

Yesterday, I saw TW1RL 26 . Not too surprising on a car pulling into a high school parking lot on a school morning… but the driver appeared to be mom-aged, not the twelfth-grade majorette implied by the plate. ---

Had a decent haul over the last day-ish: - **BENFIC-1** on a golf booster plate on a generic car. Odd to come across two golf-themed plates with BEN-something in a couple days. I had no clue, but Google says there’s a Portuguese Soccer (futbol) team called Benfica **[Official Website of Sport Lisboa e Benfica - SL Benfica](https://www.slbenfica.pt/en-us/)**. Plenty of Portuguese & even more Brazilians around here. - **LUV⎵D⎵45** on an out-of-state plate on a Kia Sorento. With a “Best Dad Ever” license plate frame. Perhaps the plate is a 45th birthday gift to Dad? That’s sweet. - **ALLUR** on a standard FL plate on a Porsche Cayenne driven by a 40-something woman with that sort of overdone hair & makeup that suggests she’s either a beautician, or spends a hefty fraction of her takehome pay at one. There are a couple of beautician parlors / spas around here with “Allure” as part of the name. Maybe she owns one of those. - **DR⎵PINK** on a standard plate on a Honda CRV mini SUV. The late 30s woman driving did not give off a “physician” vibe; more like “Denny’s waitress”. No shortage of beauty places around here with “pink” in their name. Hmm. Yet another mystery. ---

I thought for sure we had lost, but then everyone got their **SCND␣WND** and **W3␣WON**! The later had a plate with the Washington Capitals logo on it and they did win the Stanley Cup in 2018 so the plate must have been issued after that. `//i\\` ---

Scored a couple in the last day-ish - **LOMBARD** on an out of state plate I didn’t recognize. Their last name? - **4X4⎵⎵LJ** on a standard FL plate on a tricked out Jeep Wrangler. Probably an LJ model, or else the owner’s previous Jeep was an LJ and they kept the plate. LJs were only made from 2003 - 2006 and this one didn’t look quite that old. - **IDF** on a standard FL plate. Initials or an Israeli veteran proud of their service? ---

If for some reason I was drunk on my way to wizarding school and I was stopped by the police I might say **HIOCFR** and no further sobriety test would be needed. Fortunately, you do not need to drive to get to Hogwarts so I could still make it and hear **GRFNDR** be shouted by the sorting hat. That later one had a plate holder that read “mischief managed” so there was no question that it was a Harry Potter fan and what the plate stood for. `//i\\` ---

I lived in Las Vegas for 10 years. Lotta local businesses and local people use “LV” as the abbreviation for the town. Even now 30+ years later “LV” triggers me to think “Las Vegas” first, and “love” second. Especially if there’s any connection to the southwest. In Kansas? Probably “love”. 😁 Scored two today so far: - **JENITTI** on a standard FL plate on a 911. Probably their last name. I give 'em an A in car selection but a D- in plate selection. - **DBL⎵DUF** on a standard FL plate on a 4-door Jeep Wrangler. The plate frame said Clemson Tigers and there was an orange pawprint sticker on the back window. “DBL” is pretty obviously “double”. But “DUF”? No real ideas there. ---
