Saw **V KAY** in the parking garage this morning. I immediately thought of IndyCar driver Rinus Veekay but I doubt that’s what it meant. ---

… Probably not. Scored a couple in recent days; it’s been slow. - **JMU⎵DUX** on a FL standard plate on a Hyundai Tucson SUV. Hmm? Anyone? Bueller? - **L⎵⎵33** on a PA standard plate on a Jaguar sedan. That plate style has a little dark blob in the shape of Pennsylvania in the center so it sorta reads like “L-33”. I’m also mystified by this one. - **NY2BCA** on a FL standard plate on a different Tucson SUV. One of the towns near here is Boca Raton, which is sort of an unofficial exclave of New York City. So I take the plate to mean “(I moved from) New York (city) to Boca Raton.” ---

Regarding the NY professional plates, I saw the pharmacist one on Friday. It was a low number, and the webpage says that you can’t pick a custom number, the DMV assigns it, so the low number could mean that they don’t get many requests for them. Last night, **RATLINE** on an SUV. Rat line? Maybe they work the police tip line? This morning I saw something like **SOSQUSH**. So squish? A weird spelling of Sasquatch? (Maybe it was actually **SOSQUCH** , like I said, I tend to forget these pretty much as soon as the vehicle is out of view). ---

Ratlines are the tapered rope ladder-like meshes that sailors use to climb the masts of tall ships to work aloft in the rigging. Maybe this person is real proud of their tall ship cruise? Or did / does work on one? The latter almost has to be a variant spelling of Sasquatch. ---
