Tonight I saw: **OLYA 5** on a Tesla. There was a frame that had something in Cyrillic on top, and “Russian Detka” on the bottom. I guess Olya is proud of her Russian heritage. It was driven by an older white man, but I thought Olya was a feminine name in Russian, so I assume maybe that was her husband driving. And I guess there are at least 5 other Olyas with personalized plates in California. **HNYB8JR** on a GMC Sierra. At first I thought HNY was “honey”, but then I saw the JR on the end, which implies it’s a name. So maybe HNY is “Henrey”? Maybe Henery Bates, Jr? Or I was right the first time, and it’s “Honey Bee something something”? Honey Bee ate Junior? ---

Pound for pound, they’re in the world’s top few most ferocious land animals. In other words, the owner of that car is quite proud to be a raging asshole. ---

The grocery trip was good for two more today. Saw **JIJI** in the parking lot, I’m assuming that’s someone’s nickname. And then what I thought said **TORONTO** on the way home. It was raining and I never got quite close enough to them to be sure, but that’s what it looked like anyways. ---

Out running errands today I spotted: **CGRSWLD** on a Ram pickup. I assume that’s Clark Griswold, the dad from the _Vacation_ movies. It would really be more appropriate on a station wagon, but I guess as a modern American family even the Griswolds are using a full sized pickup to haul the kids around. **HELKATZ** on a Honda Accord. Hell Cats, I presume. Or perhaps her name is just Helen Katz. ---

I much prefer that it means “cougars wild”. Whether the owner is an older woman fond of young men or a young man fond of older women it represents a free spirit letting their flag fly. We need more of that in this sheeple-filled zeitgeist. ---

“Ghost gray” was the nomenclature for some navy’s ship paint color. Or, like my recent JEEP JOY on a Kia, this is a sign their previous car was that shade of gray. ---
