FL’s full sized plates allow 7 letters / numbers / spaces plus one more hyphen or space. So your version was certainly available to them had they bothered to ask for it. ---

Huh, I see 20th Century Fox is listed as the distributor for Young Frankenstein. I recognized several shots of the Warners lot and sound stages towards the end of Blazing Saddles. (The studio entrance shown off Olive Ave that the characters run through has been more or less referenced visually in the old Warners cartoons e.g. when Daffy tries to get past lot guard Porky). So I figured Brooks and Wilder would continue their relationship with Warners after the success of BS. But not only was I wrong about that, but Brooks and Wilder initially were working with Columbia for YF, but the studio balked at the idea of a black and white film so they went with 20th Century Fox who agreed to it. ---

The EGA is informal, unofficial shorthand for the Marine Corps emblem, the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. Just like my avatar. So **81EGA86** means they were in the Corps 1981-1986. It’s actually making me consider getting **80EGA93**. Just thinking about it… There are better, nicer EGA avatars out there, silver and gold, but those are for officers. Today, Sunday, I saw quite a few, It is astonishing how many people put their names or their initials on their plates. **GT3 SUS** on a very nice Porsche 911 GT3 **25 GT4RS** on a nice Porsche Cayman GT4RS **MR VGOGH** — either a Van Gogh art lover, or their name is really Van Gogh, or maybe the last name begins with V and it’s a play on V Go and s/he likes art (this would be quite clever!), or… **NEXLA** on a Tesla **HRTPRPL** — Purple Heart? **RICH GF** — okay but is she hot? **MZ BEACH** — her last name is Beach? **MEIN I8** on a BMW i8; German cleverness **K TOWN** — maybe they like the restaurants in Korea Town **CORIBRD** on a T-Bird; for Corey? Another name on their plate… **TAHOE CB** — another one who likes Lake Tahoe; initials CB? **JOES TLX** on an Acura TLX; another name on their plate **TRRUCK** on a pickup; cute **CLSXXYY** Mercedes CLS; okay but is s/he truly sexy? **K8S MINI** — on a Mini; yet another with their name on it **KAYANNE** — yet another with their name on it **ARIANMA** — maybe an Ariana who is a mother? **URBAN04** on a new (not ‘04) Chevy Suburban **415ISCO** — a play on 415 ‘Cisco? (Sisco?) 415 is the area code for San Francisco; or maybe their name is Cisco; pretty clever **PLUS1SC** on an Audi A7 3.0T — this one I didn’t get, maybe their previous car was a Porsche 911 Carrera SC and they transferred their plate onto their Audi? Both cars are German; some owners remain faithful to the country of manufacture, but why put it on an Audi? **S4RHP** on a Honda Civic S; maybe their initials are RHP **RUN11S** on a Tesla X; okay… … maybe it runs 11 second ¼-mile runs; that’s pretty fast **GLF GDZZ** — she must be good at the game, this goddess ---
