NorCal isn’t as Spanish heavy as SoCal, but I’ve learned around here in Miami to think about Spanish or Portuguese possibilities if something in English doesn’t pop out at me. On a clean, black BMW 128i: **B8B1M3R** I’m gonna guess the last five characters are for bimmer, but **B8**? Bait? Luring riders with his cool car? I got nothin’. ---

**LMJBNZ2** – I was following that guy for miles before I realized that was actually a custom plate. It just looked looked like a jumble of letters until it eventually clicked that that’s not the standard pattern. It was on a Mercedes SUV, so my best guess is LMJ are initials, and it translates to “LMJ’s Benz, too,” as in “My other car’s also a Benz.” **OV NANA** on some forgettable crossover. I’m guessing the owner is someone’s grandma, but I’m not sure what the OV means. **U1JESUS** on a Nissan Rogue. “You won, Jesus,” I guess. I like to think Jesus just refers to some random Hispanic guy, rather than the Biblical figure. ---
