**V I A G** Oddly stretched across the plate. Has ED and proud of it? **CLIK 3X** Double-click is common with mouses but three times? The only thing I can think of is _The Wizard of Oz_ so maybe a fan or a friend of Dorothy or maybe just wishing they were off this plane of existence. ---

Been a busy couple of days in the plate-spotting biz … - **CNS-3** on a FL standard plate on a Bentley convertible. One of his 7 weekly Bentleys? I did see it on Wednesday, the 3rds day of the week. The third company car of his company, CNS Industries? He’s a successful neurologist or brain surgeon? - **BA⎵⎵⎵09** on a FL 7-character golf booster plate on a Porsche 911. I might have posted this one before; it lives in my building. Anyhow I had the insight a couple days ago that the plate might mean “back 9” as in the second half of a golf course. Which might be a metaphor for almost any late stage of any activity. E.g. “retirement is the back 9 of life.” Golfers are certainly (in)famous for slipping golf terminology and golf metaphors into everyday conversation. - **GYNGO** on a FL 5-character Miami Heat NBA booster plate on a SUV. The owner is a gynecologist? And they make house-calls: “Gyno to go”, kinda like DoorDash delivers? 😁 The owner is a woman whose nickname or shortened form name is something akin to Gyn, so Jen, or Gen or … - **B3NJAMN** on a FL 7-character blacked-out plate on a blacked out black-wrapped Telsa Cybertruck. The first thought I had was “Been jammin’” as in enjoying some reggae. Only later did I realize it might just be “Benjamin”. I like my first idea better. - **ZEIDY** on a FL 5-character support Israel over the Palestinians booster plate on a generic crossover. Presumably somebody’s name. Those plates are fairly new and this is the first one I’ve seen. - **HARVG** on a FL 5-character something-booster plate on a BMW sedan. Nice to meet you, Harvey. - **BLAZ** on a FL 5-character University of Florida Gators booster plate on a basic white pickup truck. Reading it as “blaze” at first I thought they might be a fire alarm or fire extinguisher service company. But the truck was plain on the sides too. Maybe they’re a firefighter, but I didn’t see the usual proud decals for that either. Maybe they actually mean they have the “blahs”. Or are terminally blasé. After all, it was a _very_ plain pickup truck by local standards. - **NECMAMA** on a FL standard plate on a dirty family wagon. “Mama” is easy; what’s NEC? Initials of her three kids Nancy, Edward, and Carl/Carla? “Niece Mama” as in “I’m raising my useless sister’s kids too.”? - **REEF⎵CAR** on a FL standard plate on a SUV festooned with scuba-related stickers. The woman driving had a very 30yo action adventure outdoorsy water-woman vibe. Evidently the main purpose of the car is to haul scuba gear from one dive to the next. Good for her. Unrelated to that, I’ve recently run across a few plates that I’m 99% sure are just ordinary series plates. But with my interesting-plate-recognizer running in overdrive, they seemed meaningful. When I see one of these I always wonder if the plate owner recognizes the hidden meaning I see or are they oblivious? - **DI0⎵0DE** on a FL standard plate. Having once been an electronics hobbyist I immediately saw “Diode”. - **CU4AZ** on a FL 5-character surfer booster plate on a copper-colored Nissan. That plate’s predominant colors are also orange-ish. Cu being the chemical abbreviation for copper and Arizona being the Copper State, “Copper for Arizona” jumped out at me on a copper colored car with a coppery-looking plate. - **24KGD** on a FL 5-character surfer booster plate on a generic sedan with a bright sparkly rhinestone license plate frame. Parked near the copper car and also near a jewelry store, it immediately made me think of “24 karat gold”. ---

**STEKIR** on a California “whale tail” ocean conservation plate on a Chevy Volt. I have no clue what it means. The car also had a mismatched passenger door – the rest of the car was blue but the door was white. I couldn’t see the driver’s door to tell if it was similarly mismatched. Probably unrelated to the plate. ---

Big, black Ford F150 with **THE9ERS**. I was thinking San Francisco fan, until I noticed the little CSULB decal in the corner of the back window. Cal State Long Beach’s teams are also 49ers. ---

Both of those. Supposedly the largest Brazilian ex-pat population anywhere. The fact I saw the plate at a _Rodizio_ in a Brazilian-heavy section of town pretty well seals the deal. Lunch there was excellent, and all the workers & most of the patrons seemed to be of Brazilian descent. ---
