**HISCHLD** on some crossover. “His child”, I guess. I mean, we’re all someone’s child, but I’m guessing this is a religious thing, like we’re all God’s children. I could only see the front plate from my vantage point, so I couldn’t see if there were any religious bumper stickers or anything like that. ---

**YESSIRR** , with that extra R tacked onto the end. Which reminds me of one I saw on my travels in Texas, but never got around to posting: A TX license plate **YESDEAR**. Another sports-related one: a Connecticut plate reading **BRONX\_B** (ombers presumably–it was at my local minor league ballpark) ---

Saw something that might have been **31BITS** , whatever that might mean. The B might also have been an 8 which would make it just a normal style plate. It was a bit too far away for me to be sure. Not a custom plate but I did see an Alaska license plate this morning. Don’t see those too often around here. ---

On a flashy red sports car (maybe a late model Corvette, I couldn’t get a great look): **REDMACH5**. A reference to _Speed Racer_ I’m assuming. On an SUV (Mercedes, I think): **III**. Either the third of that name, or “aye-aye-aye”? Possibly both. ---

**JJSAFETY** Truck was logoed for a company of the same name **HDDEUCE** On a pickup. There was a Viet Nam service sticker so maybe drove a deuce-and-a-half there or a member of the [502nd Infantry Regiment](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/502nd_Infantry_Regiment) which served there. **DBS TRK** DB’s truck, obviously **IVANNAB** Ivanna B, another name, is my guess. ---

Okay, on the MassPike the other day I saw the following license plate: **2** I THINK the plate was from Rhode Island, but the car was just a little too far off and the license plate holder just a little too intrusive to tell for sure. It’s possible it was Connecticut. It wasn’t Massachusetts or New York or PA or NJ or any of the upper New England states, I’m positive of that. The owner of the RI plate 2 is a former Olympian, or so says the internet. I don’t know who holds 2 in Connecticut. Don’t know if that counts as a vanity plate, exactly, but I thought it was interesting enough to mention here. A couple others: **LVE4LIFE** (_love_, probably, but I kind of like _live_ or _leave_) **TARAMAC** (Tara MacFarlane’s car or maybe Tara McIlhenny’s, who knows) **GRUX JL** (your guess is probably better than mine) ---

I’ve been traveling and not really in a position to note down plates. But I saw one interesting memorable one yesterday. - **KATY2** on a FL 5-character Purple Heart veteran’s plate. Which can only be issued to people who present DoD paperwork (DD214) that proves they have the award. The license plate frame said “US Navy” on top and “SENIOR CHIEF” on the bottom. I don’t know how Katherine got hurt, but I bet she was something back in the day. ---

Most of the custom plates I saw this morning were repeats of ones I’ve already posted. When you commute the same route at around the same time every workday you tend to see the same cars. But I did spot one new one near the office: **CUBBY16** – Must be commemorating the Cubs winning the World Series in 2016.
