**CR89** on a Kia Telluride. I’m guessing that’s state highway 89, which runs along the western shore of Lake Tahoe. **ALISKA** on an Acura crossover. I’m guessing that’s a name. Or maybe someone named Ali likes ska music. **QCCD INC** on an F150. There were also QCCD company logos on the doors. I initially assumed a contractor, but the truck had a crew cab and short bed, while most contractor’s trucks have a single cab and long bed. Nonetheless, the truck obviously belongs to a business of some sort. **N PHASE** on a Porsche 911. “In phase”, I presume. I feel like I may have posted that one before. ---

Around here CR in combination with a road number would mean “county road”, and I’d suspect that somebody lives on County Road 89. I don’t know if they do it that way out there, though. ---

Honda Accord with CA plates: **V1N58LA** No other markings on the car, but I’m pretty sure they’re serious Dodgers fans. Vin Scully (arguably the greatest sports broadcaster ever) came to Los Angeles with the Dodgers in 1958. ---

Had a decent haul yesterday - **NTFD⎵AWY** on a FL standard plate on a Lincoln geezer crossover. Which mean nothing to me until I noticed the Grateful Dead emblem on the back panel and the Grateful Dead license plate frame. “Not Fade Away” being one of their signature tunes. - **PKBLBRNY** on a NY standard plate on a generic sedan. Took me a bit, but I’m going with “Pickleball Bernie” or maybe “Pickleball Brooklyn New York”. - **ITFLY** on a FL 5-character Miami Heat NBA booster plate on a Tesla Model S. Yeah, those things fly pretty good. I think I reported this one already awhile ago. - **TRBO⎵⎵14** on a FL standard plate on some flavor of late model Porsche 911-derivitive convertible with the factory “turbo” label across the rear hood lid. Aside: now that damned near everything comes with a turbo or two, that term has not nearly the marketing cachet it did in the 1970s.
