**WA6RZ** may seem random, but that’s not a normal series plate. And the frame provides a clue – “CQ DX CQ DX Standing by…” The drive must be a ham radio operator, and I’m guessing those are his call letters. **ACR SUN** on a Mustang convertible. I’m thinking it might have been one of the various special edition Mustangs Ford made over the years, as it had fancy stripes and unique badges that I couldn’t read as I drove past it. But I’m guessing the ACR has something to do with that, and SUN because it’s a convertible. ---

Seen up in Wisconsin, on a very shiny white Toyota SUV: **WHT ALBM**. Presumably owned by a Beatles fan, as well as a reference to the car’s color. ---

When I went out to lunch today I spotted **CAPN HAL** on a Mini Cooper with a US Navy frame. An elderly gentleman was behind the wheel, so I assume he retired with that rank. Coincidentally, I was heading to a seafood place. ---

The ‘6’ means it was issued in California and, [looking it up](https://www.qrz.com/db/WA6RZ) he’s there still. The two-letter suffix means he has an Extra class license, the highest there is. ---

I saw **5PY 996** on a car in front of me yesterday. It stayed there long enough for me to wonder if it was intentional. “ **5PY** ” immediately looks like **“SPY”**. And if you take the numbers and iterate by one (so that “6” becomes “7”, and “9” becomes “0”) you get **Spy 007**. ---
