Not a clue. But it was definitely unusual, not just somebody’s initials, so I snapped the pic. Even more interesting, it taught me that dashes are allowed in a plate number in VA. ---

Perhaps. Amongst Subaru owners, “Subie” is a pretty standard nick-term for the brand. e.g. “My new Subie handles great!”. So good bet somebody had already snagged “Subie” in your state. So then come all the alternate spellings. Or, as you suggest, the owner is some variation on “Susan”. ---

Someone visiting my neighbor across the street had a handicap-access plate that read **HURRY** Slight tangent, today I saw an early 90s Chevy Caprice with “Historic” plates. I know a car only has to be 25 years old to qualify but I refuse to accept that the 90s were more than 25 years ago 🤣 ---

I saw **RBL SCM** this weekend. Obvious a Star Wars fan. Also **WILSON** Nothing clever there, but lucky to be able to get it. Somebody else probably had to settle for _W1LSON_ or _WILS0N_ (with a numeral “0” in place of letter “O”) ---
