I bet the owner is nicknamed “Ace”, and that car is his (darn good bet it’s a “his”) ride. People call their cars “their ride” all the time. ---

I’m thinking that decision could come back to haunt them if they ever cause a bad accident. Kinda like the many variations of macho bumper stickers or house signs that say “I’ll shoot first and ask questions later”. That probably won’t help you at your ~~manslaughter~~ murder trial. ---

Almost forgot… a little black pickup at the beach with: **CTAPTAP**. It was parked and I was moving, so I couldn’t read the bumper stickers or the license plate frame. Any ideas? I got nuthin’. ---

Good haul for me the last few days. I’m missing 3 or 4 good ones I was unable to write down before I forgot them. Damn! And I’m skipping a couple of **BOB J** first name + last initial plates that are _boor-iiiing!!_ - **KCB⎵ESQ** on a FL standard plate on a new Range Rover. I wonder whether KCB are their initials or a reference to their British honors: **[Order of the Bath - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Bath)**. It being a British car and all. There are many Brit expats around here. In either case, evidently their legal career is going well. - **A⎵FAST1** on a FL standard plate on a Cadillac Lyric EV. Probably true, at least as to acceleration, if not top speed. - **ZHU4KA** on a FL standard plate on a generic white crossover. I have no idea. There is a common Brazilian woman’s name that is rendered phonetically in English as “ZHU”. Lotta Brazilians around here too. Maybe? - **SPICCY** on a FL 5-character NBA Miami Heat booster plate on a late model lowered and flared BMW M3. With loud exhaust and afterfiring on trailing throttle. Of course. 😡 Probably a pretty hot and spicy performer. But also probably more noisy than it is fast. - **TORCHIN** on a FL standard plate on a new Mercedes AMG E-something sedan that looked box-stock (for an AMG). I guess this guy thinks his is hot too. Lotta that goin’ around. - **8RONCO** on a FL standard plate on a new … wait for it … Ford Bronco! Hooray there Captain Obvious. You win a cookie. A small and stale one from alongside a 7-11 cash register. - **RMP** on a FL 5-character NFL Tampa Bay Bucs booster plate on a bright red-wrapped Cybertruck. The plate is probably initials and is therefore boring. But this was the first bright, and I do mean _BRIGHT_ red CT I’d seen. Talk about overcompensating for some unfortunate anatomical shortcomings. - **KYLE** on a FL 5-character surfing booster plate on a middle-aged black pickup truck w a surfboard rack. I’ve seen Kyle around a few times; I was surprised to find I hadn’t reported him here before. Go Kyle! - **4ARTHUR** on a FL standard plate on a boring gray Chevy crossover. Yawn. Hi Arthur! - **BBGD-1** on a FL standard plate on a large Audi SUV; their big one. I keep trying to make a song lyric like “Baby be good” out of those initials. I’m _almost_ remembering some similar lyrics from somewhere. But that’s probably not right. Anyone? Bueller? - **VIBCODR** on a FL standard plate on a new BMW X6 large crossover. Evidently AI-assisted software development pays fairly well. - **2BLDLYGO** on a North Carolina “First In Flight” plate on a well-worn Toyota Rav4. First time I’d seen 8 characters on a plate other than New York. From the looks of their car they do seem to be traveling around a lot. Not sure how bold that is. Or maybe they’re commemorating the Wright Brothers having boldly gone _up_, a place humans had not really gone much before. Who knows? ---
