Maybe “driver’s initials, original gangster”? **FWAPI** on an Infinity Q50. As a software guy, my mind immediately goes “Firmware API”, but I could be wrong. ---

Been a slow week here but I scored a few: - **WALL⎵ST** on a FL standard plate on a generic crossover with US Navy vietnam veteran plate frame. - **SOPHIAA** on a FL standard plate on a sedan. A respelling or maybe her last name starts with A? She could have had a space between the two As if she’d wanted. - **UPITA** on a FL standard plate on an older raggedy Lexus. Maybe a Latin name. Or maybe suggesting You’re a PITA to everyone behind them? I prefer the latter. - **GIFTED⎵2** on a FL standard plate on a new midline Mercedes. Extra smart? Got the car as a gift? Has 2 smart kids? - **R⎵QUIGG** on a FL standard plate on an Audi sedan. Surely a name. But “Quigg” is a fun word in its own right. - **CHIEFY⎵1** on a FL standard plate on a 4-door Jeep wrangler with a Chiefy-something plate frame too. Turns out he’s a local semi-celeb from a nearby town who goes by the handle Chiefy. Good bet he served a good while enlisted in Navy. He runs a local sport fishing company, published a sport fishing news & advice column in the weekly small town rag while it was still published, etc. The guy driving looked like his pix in the paper. I spotted a (local) celebrity! Yaay me. 🤪 ---

More likely a retired US Navy or Coast Guard senior enlisted person. “Chief” is their rank / title. IME, to a much greater extent than other services Chiefs like to keep using their in-service title in retirement a lot more than USAF, USMC, or Army Sergeants like to keep theirs. ---

Here’s my copious haul for just a couple days. I’ll probably have a 2-week drought to pay for this. Oh well. - **RETIR⎵RN** on a FL standard plate on a Mercedes crossover. The 60-something woman driving somehow looked a lot like you’d expect a career nurse to look. - **BOLIDE** on a FL “family values” booster plate on a blacked out fairly snazzed up BMW sedan. The outfit behind that plate claims to be all about teaching couples life skills, but something about them just screams “extremist religious cult” to me. I cringe every time I see one of their plates. “Bolide” being the technical term for an meteorite glowing especially brightly and leaving a big trail during reentry, or one big enough to leave a significant crater after impact. I wonder quite what the owner was thinking when they picked that word? - **AVA⎵MINA** on a FL standard plate on a generic crossover. A lady’s name perhaps? - **DGG⎵⎵3** on a FL standard plate on a Mercedes coupe. Initials and little creativity? - **MZ⎵MAX** on a FL standard plate on another crossover. **MZ** is probably respelled “Ms.”, although I wonder whether **MAX** is a short form for her first or last name or just a cool nickname. - **BILDIT** on a FL disabled veteran plate on a shiny pickup truck. Somebody in the construction biz or maybe real estate development. The truck wasn’t a work truck; this guy was an owner, office type, or supervisor. - **NO⎵RUSH2** on a FL standard plate on a max case glitzed-out Range Rover mega-SUV. Kinda incongruous plate choice; most Range Rovers around here are driven by pushy maniacs. One being in no rush would be out of character. At least they had parked badly & hurriedly in a nearly empty lot. So at least some of their stereotype was upheld. 🤦‍♂️ - **SRVET** on a FL specialty booster plate I couldn’t quite recognize in the time available. It was on a BMW coupe. A veterinarian, or a Veteran? SR for “Senior” or “Sir” or ???. Or maybe it’s something closer to “Serve T”? Any ideas? - **CFYRE** on another FL specialty booster plate I couldn’t quite recognize in the time available as the pickup shoved its way recklessly through too heavy traffic for that shit. Perhaps that’s “Centerfire” as in a gun enthusiast. I didn’t notice any stickers, plate frames, etc. to give context. Could be a firefighter with an agency named “C”, but we don’t have any single word “C” cities around here. - **NO⎵FORDS** on a FL standard plate on a black Camaro convertible. With loud exhaust who revved a lot at every opportunity. We get it Bub; you think Chevys are great. How nice for you. ---

I was following a red SUV with **ONLY 24** on my way to the office. I couldn’t see the driver to tell if they were really only 24. There were a bunch of stickers on the car too but it was too dark to read them. Then on my way home I got cut off by an Audi with the “Kids First” plate reading **HOPE11**. ---

**ELETRUC** on an F150 Raptor. “Something truck”, I assume, but I don’t know what the ELE means. If it was a Lightning I might think it meant “Elec-truck”, which would be some pretty cleaver word play, but that wouldn’t make sense on this truck, IMO.
