By the college where I teach is frequently parked a car with a plate that says “OMG MOVE”, a sentiment I frequently express when stuck in traffic.

On the Dope, I learned today:
Licence can be spelled 2 ways. And I was still mis-spelling it. Oof!

Sidebar: In Brit/Canadian/Commonwealth usage, “licence” is the noun, “license” is the verb. Same as “advice” (noun) and “advise” (verb).

A long, long time ago, i used to see a Geo Storm with the plate CALMB4
I used to work with a guy who drove an Infinity with the plate ALEPH 0 (for non-math majors, the hebrew character aleph is used to designate different levels of infinity; aleph null is the first)
We get a lot of looks when we go on vacation with my SIL. Our plates are DOPEY; hers are GRMPY.

As with a couple of the above this one is seen in the wild only if my own driveway counts as the wild, but my wife has a pretty good one - “JOYINMY”. It’s on her Kia Soul.

There was an artical in Nat Geo magazine (the actual paper version) years ago on the Meadowlands area in NJ. The article ended with the author mentioning the wistful chant he could hear from far off in the distance “Rangers suck! Rangers suck!” It made me laugh.

Wnen I lived in MO I had a personalized plate. Not witty, it was a compressed version of the name of the company I owned. Which still baffled folks who had no reason to know what it meant.
The relevance to your post is that MO had 6-character plates, but let you insert a space or an en-dash between any two letters wherever you wanted. I had an en-dash after the first character.
No need for Sharpies; it came that way from the factory. Nice.
