Sn (_stannum_) is the chemical abbreviation for Tin. Could it be Tin Dealers? ---

Seen in the parking lot of the local track: a late-model Toyota Supra with the plate, **SUPRAA.** Okay, makes sense, but why is the extra A there? The other track denizens and I decided it was a midlife crisis. ---

Because somebody else already has **SUPRA**? Yesterday I saw **MARLO⎵13**. It didn’t look like a fleet vehicle, so I bet they got that plate since **MARLO** and **MARLO⎵1** through **MARLO⎵12** were already taken. Either that or their last name is a real mouthful. I’ve also seen 2 or 3 other more interesting ones in the last few days, but always when I can’t snap a pic or write it down. Damned if I can remember any of them now. I call it “brain fogey”. Like brain fog, but with a specific cause. ---

I am not sure from what level **2DNXLVL** is going to in his Tesla, hopefully something nice. As long as **IPA␣4ME** isn’t driving while drinking he can like them all he wants. **5AY5␣YEU** clearly got creative with how to tell people off. I guess **ALLONZ-Z** thinks it is time to go. That last one I feel is quite clever and requires you to to understand French and English. Allons is the imperative of the verb Aller, (to go) in French, and if you were to strictly pronounce the z afterwards using French pronunciation it would be zed. But if you use the American English pronunciation it would be zee. Which means if you combine French and English when you read the plate you get the correctly pronounced Allons-y which means let’s go. `//i\\` ---

Agreed; it’s also possible that the plate owner is a _Doctor Who_ fan, as “allons-y” was frequently uttered by the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant). ---

That is interesting, I have never seen Doctor Who so I would not that reference, the only other English reference I could think of is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The french say it when they are about to get the wooden bunny. It is a bit difficult to hear, but it is funny side bit they do. `//i\\` ---

I’ll take a low-confidence stab that **WY** means “Why yes,…” Separately I thought **IF** is “… is fast”. But I don’t have a good answer for the **A** in the middle that fits both ends. So I bet one (or both) of my ends is wrong. ---

Saw a Porsche SUV (Gaah, what has the world come to??!?!) with the Florida golf-themed plate background. The text was **PAR␣004**. Which is not a current pattern for ordinary non-personal plates, so it had to be deliberate. ---
