Hope this is not gauche but I’d like to quote myself, from a different license plate thread, listing a bunch of utterly innocuous plate requests that were denied by perhaps overly cautious and hyperconservative DMVs: > [@What is offensive about this Vanity license plate?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/what-is-offensive-about-this-vanity-license-plate/945542/31): > > A while back I came across a massive PDF that resulted from a public records request of denied vanity plate applications, covering all 50 state DMVs. A lot of the banned plates were incredibly innocuous, or maybe I am just not getting the dirty jokes involved. Rejected plates included: AFOOT ACES ABNORML ALCHEMY ALRIGHT ALICE ARCHIE AOKAYE AUTISM AVIATOR HEYJUDE HIJINX INSPIRE JELLO JTKIRK KAYAKER L8AGAIN PRAXIS QTRBACK QUAKER SHOPGRL SHOEGRL TOUCAN UNMOVED VRMONTR Sorr… In that light I have been very surprised by two spotted in the last few weeks in my neighborhood: **BADDASH PRO GUN** BADDASH was a teenager’s junky sports car; I hope he has some sense of wry irony in calling himself a BADDAS[H]. PRO GUN was a very scary monster truck being driven just as you’d expect. You want to be the cop who has to pull that over? (who am I kidding – it probably is a cop) --- _[View the full topic](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/custom-licence-plates-seen-in-the-wild/992965)._
