Huh. I liked Riley Stoker but if it just doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. How’zabout _Hitch_, referring of course to the fine old custom of thumbing for rides. A cute little cuss, to be sure. ---

I always thought that **Spike** would be a great kitten name. I know someone who named her cat **Kung Pao Kitten**. Just thought I would throw that one in cuz it’s really clever. ---

I feel lucky if I can hold onto the entire right half of the bed. The kitten has (mostly) given up trying to sleep on my face (though he still enthusiastically goes for it whenever I hold him) and now snuggles with Squash, Pumpkin and Peanut on my left side. Thus emboldened, Sally as of last night has resumed her station at my knees. What comings and goings there are when I’m asleep I’d prefer not to contemplate. ---
