Lest anyone think I hate St. Louis, that’s not the case! Forest Park is lovely, and there are a lot of fun things to do. It’s just that it’s not quite home. People think I’m weird because I don’t go to church. And the seafood sucks compared to NE, but they have great steak.
**tdn** , I think I get spoiled by the SDMB when it comes to grammar and spelling. People here capitalize when appropriate, spell out whole words using all letters and no numbers, and usually their sentences are shorter than a paragraph.

I was in St. Louis for a night when I was a teen, and I must say I enjoyed it. The arch was fun.
I get spoiled by the SDMB too. And once in a while I’m tempted to reply to a work e-mail by calling the sender a goat-felching asshat. 🆒

My experience does back up the OP’s claims. My best guess is that such misspellings is part of the ‘cute’ presentation; so u just haf to liv wid ittttt 😃

Having recently seen **Antigen** in the drunk Doper picture thread, and having enjoyed her posts here for a while, I must concur on both points.

I bet the steak sucks compared to NE, too–Nebraska, that is! I can’t wait 'til the next time I land at Omaha Prime.
FWIW, I hated St. Louis with a passion while I was there. It felt like a small town to me, and there was way too much dust and country music. That said, I liked Jeff City–reminded me of a cleaner, if less cultured, DC (where I grew up).

I don’t know. I know lots of cute girls who spell just fine. And public education is horrible where I live. You just have to hang with the right people.

Nigerian sweetheart scam. The hot photos are stolen from a modeling agency Web site.
Do they include a space before a comma, but not after? Commas in place of apostrophes? Random caps, or a complete lack of them? Nigerian.
