On Wednesday night, one yellow kitten’s eyes were opening. I won’t see them again until Sunday night. I hope they surprise me! ---

It’s a lot of fun when their eyes open. They will follow any movement with their whole heads, and sometimes you can get the whole litter to bob and weave their heads in synchronism. ---

I was out of town! I took 40 photos, and only these were not blurry. I can’t use the flash because of their new eyeballs, and they refuse to hold still long enough for a no-flash photo. I’ll keep trying. Chewie only has one eye open, but the calico and two of the oranges have both eyes open. One orange has no eyes open. Chewie had both eyes open yesterday, but one is back to being closed. The shelter says that’s normal. None can walk yet. We need more names. ---

My daughter wiped the kitten with the unopened eyes’ eyelids with a wet cloth today to unstick them, and, happily, now they’re opened. They still can’t walk or do anything more than drag themselves around, zombie-like.
