Nineiron, as a Red Sox fan, you had better take what solace you can. (I’m not a fan of any team at the moment) I still remember when Hurst retired the side to end a game with a man on 1st and 3rd and I think only one out. That had to be the best under pressure pitching I have ever seen. (1986?) Hurst had sand. ---

DP, The bases were loaded when a single (IF/OF in, 1 out) brought in the winning run. The DBs had scored 1 to tie earlier in the 9th. ---

Thanks Lurker, I was only half watching. Back in the 70s I used to root for the Yankees against the Dodgers (being I was a Dodgers hater because I was then a Giants fan), but I find it hard to get excited about baseball except for the food at A s games. ---
