Sorry, I tried to search for DC Dopers, but it won’t search D.C. ☹ I’m going to be in VA next week about 1 hour from DC- are there any Doper events going on? Could there be? Should there be? I am not even sure who the DC Dopers are. Can anyone at least link me to a fest thread so I can mail some folks? I’d love to drive up after work (it’s a business trip) for supper or something. ---

I am in DC when I am not stuck in traffic on the Virginia highways:rolleyes: Having recently become a ‘doper’, I have never been to a dope fest but would love to welcome you to the area. Where are you going to be in the area? And is that hour away based on mileage or actual time as given by someone ‘in the know’? In the DC area 60 miles does not equal 1 hour driving time.:rolleyes: ---

Anita and all- I’ll be in Fredericksburg from this Sunday through Friday- I have no plans for any late afternoon/evening. I was thinking a dinner or something- no big whoop. Let’s make it easy on Zette and meet at Springfield Mall. It’ll be a straight shot up Rt 95 for her and convenient for most MADS, and even has a Metro station close by! The mall has the standard chains: Bennigans, Ruby Tuesday, and The American Cafe. I’m sure there are other options in the area, also. **Zette** , does your availability include Friday evening? We have an occasional Friday meeting of the Alcohol and Appetizers Appreciation Society (now called MADinner, I think) and we haven’t managed a meeting in a while. I suggest Friday, July 11th, but I’m free most any evening next week. So who’s up for it, and when? ---

Springfield Mall would be good, and it’ll be much easier for **Zette** to drive north to Springfield than it would for us to drive south to Fredericksburg, on a weekday evening. My only request is: **not** TGI Friday’s. Had a bad encounter with that particular one, fairly recently. ---

No one has said that any particular day is bad, so I vote on Tuesday, July 8th, at 7pm at either Bennigans or The American Cafe. They are both visible from the parking lot, and can accommodate vegans. These folks look like they are in for sure: Zette OpalCat fruitbat and Miabella Tazma RTFirefly (and the Mrs?) Aholibah myself So who else is in? ---

Don’t trust **Zette** – she has a _history_ of getting people to throw Dopefests when she’ll be in town and then cancelling out! 😉 **Soup** , spending winters in Washington and summers in San Antonio sounds like a plan. I suppose you also take sauna when overheated and drink ice tea to warm up? 😃 ---
