Great, just great. :o
He really hit the nail on the head where _ **TOS** _ vs \*\*\*TNG \*\*\*was concerned, though it didn’t just start in the '80s. _ **Star Trek** _ began going downhill the day Paramount bought Desilu and brought in their own people. The same thing happened at the independent radio station where I used to work, when it was purchased by a well-known international broadcasting company that shall remain nameless here but is best described by the word “cretins.”

It WAS the Great Bird of the Galaxy’s idea–Gene Roddenberry, that is. I swear, from some stuff I’ve read the man was sex-obsessed. In that one episode on the spa-like hippie planet, where Wesley is condemned to death for not keeping off the grass, he wanted lots more casual nudity among the planet’s inhabitants.
