Depending on which translation you get, some of the language might be a tad spicy for a 10-year-old. ---

By the time my son was 10, we started including action thrillers and sci-fi. **Die Hard** , **The Terminator** , oh, and **Tremors** ;). ETA - you have **Speed** on your list - these are like that. Watching **Predator** with him and keeping a running commentary on the silly Man Tropes being deployed was hilarious. No **Princess Bride**? inconceivable! **Attack the Block** is a freakin’ brilliant fun and funny sci-fi thriller. The movie that brought attention to John Boyega, now Finn of the new Star Wars. A bunch of kids from the London projects (the block) encounter aliens and stand their ground. My kids loved **Shaun of the Dead**. And **The Matrix**. ---

Let me clarify my list a bit, because I know I missed some. They have seen these as well … _Princess Bride_ - Liked it, but not sure if they truly appreciated all the humor. _Kiki’s Delivery Service_ - Thumbs Up _Raiders of the Lost Ark_ - Unfortunately, they didn’t care for it that much. Ok, but not as great as I hyped it to be. As I recall more, I will list them. ---

You can use Wikipedia to list movies by year–that way you can remind yourself of movies you liked when you were around their age. For instance, [these](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1985_in_film#Highest-grossing_films_.28U.S..29) were the top films when I was 13. ---

We did watch _Explorers_, but they weren’t all that impressed, neither was I, considering it had been years since I saw it. I thought it was good way back when, but now - meh. ---

Just watched and really enjoyed the original Jumani. I hear they are re-making it. Although it is a Nickelodeon kid movie, Good Burger’s dumb humor made me laugh. Probably already seen but just in case: True Lies and Last Action Hero. ---
