Is this common in Japan? I seem to remember a few years ago they found a guy who had been dead in an apartment for 20 years or something like that. They only found him when the building was slated for demolition. Sorry, no time for Snopes.

I remember that article, **CynicalGabe**. I think we even talked about it here. In that case, the man had no family or friends, enough money in the bank to continue paying the utilities and auto-pay set up already, there was no one to notice or care that he’d gone missing at all.
These folks are acting like not feeding Dad for a decade is normal, bit different.

Pretty much. I heard on the radio a few days back that almost the same thing was discovered in Romania or a country near it. It’s hazy but I think that case was a mom dead for a few years. If the Straterra kicks in soon I may look for a link.
