He was taken in an ambulance, around 9:30. Breathing trouble. He forbade me to come, as I’d upset him. More later. ---

I laugh when extremely upset instead of cry. The last time dad was in the emergency room for a heart attack, I started to have a suppressed laugh. It upset the doctors not dad. They asked what was so funny. Dad speaks up and says “I didn’t go to the doctor a couple days ago when he said to.” I said “I laugh under extreme duress.” I’m glad things are alright for your dad. ---

Pneumonia. But with antibiotics, he looks & sound much better. He is staying in the hospital until at least Friday afternoon. ---

**Bosda** , I send you best wishes for your dad’s rapid recovery. I’d also like to echo what other posters have said, which is to take care of yourself especially well while your loved one is sick. Please be sure to eat right, take care of any medical conditions you may have, and get plenty of sleep. You don’t want to get sick yourself and it’s so very easy to neglect your own needs while you’re worried about your dad. ---
