Best wishes to you and your family, **matt**. Unexplained headaches or speech impediments are bloody scary. My mother was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour in early 2002, but after some grisly surgery and a few months recovery she was pretty much back to normal. I hope whatever’s ailing your father is something that can be treated by antibiotics, but if it is a tumour (and I’m sure you’re dwelling on that possibility - that was the first thing I thought of when my mom was complaining of constant headaches), well, modern medical procedures can be pretty impressive sometimes. Keep up hope. ---

Good vibes heading your way, **Matt**. Hope all goes well. You may want to look into fMRI (functional MRI). It maps brain function and might detect slight damage from a very minor stroke. ---
