My therapist was very supportive, albeit clueless. Then I got boring and she pronounced me cured. What I hate are insurance companies that make you claim to be suicidal to get back into therapy because you were pronounced cured less than six months before. But you don’t need a therapist, Matt. You have us. (hahahahaha!) Really, if you need to talk you know where to find most of us. ---

Yeah. I’m only 19 and the root of my “problems” happened when I was fourteen. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was sixteen. And the fact that she said that I should be able to do fine without it is, like you and so many others IRL have said, ludicrous. There’s got to be some legal action I can take but deep down I know there’s really not. ---

Well if you psychiatrist or doctor sucks, _go to a different one._ I had a lot of problems from the age of 14-19. I had severe depression, was on lots of psycho- meds, and was in and out of institutions. Somehow my depression broke through sometime when I was 19, and now I am a much stronger person. But, during that time, I saw enough psychiatrists, doctors and psychologists to see that many “operate differently.” And many of them suck. So if you’re not happy with them, go to someone else. I remember once having this idiot psychiatrist that liked to put me on bizzare drugs that made me worse (giving me panic attacks, seizures and the like). Anyways, I’d got this recommendation for a guy to try from this nurse whose daughter I’d hooked up with. He’s a cool guy with like 6 ivy-league degrees and 40 years experience. I only see him anymore to get Dexedrine for my ADD. Yeah it sucks that I have to wait 2 hours every time I go, but I have to go see him every three months because that’s the policy for getting Dexedrine (Schedule II drug). But it’s not like I get an evaluation, I just go in his office and we shoot the shit for 20 minutes or so and then he gives me a script for a three month supply. Works for me. If your upset with your doc, or his practice policies, go find another. ---
