Damn the WalMartians and other rude self-centered-shits

Abject cruelty, perhaps? Oh, 2trew’s getting better with every post. I’ve made a special place for him.

I don’t know about all this coming down on 2trew.

I don’t consider myself a cynical person at all, but I think a lot of people can sit back and say “oh, I would never push past someone if there was a stampede!” when they’re not in the situation. And it’s good to think that way. People don’t really want to think about how they’d actually react in a highly dangerous situation.

In reality, in dangerous situations, survival instinct kicks in. No one wants to die. No one wants to be seriously injured. People’s first instincts are to get the hell out of the dangerous situation.

There are some people trained in how to act in an emergency (emergency services personnel, military personnel) that will try to restore order to the madness. Because of their intense training, they know how to stay calm and deal with the situation. The majority of people though, just want to get themselves, and their family out.

Sure, they may help someone that falls in front of them. I hope they would. I’d like to think I would. But to try climb up on a moralistic hilltop and claim that you’d be a hero instead of worrying about how to get you and yours out of the situation, STAT, is a bit presumptuous at the least. No one can truly say how they’d react in that kind of situation without having ever been in it.

[sub]Please note this does not apply to the WalMart riot, I’m referring to actual emergencies, such as the movie fire, ect.[/sub]

Isn’t this the same woman who has filed about ten other accident claims at Walmart? And her sister too? The sister worked for Walmart, I think. Doncha jus’ love them scammers!

Yes Sanguine.

A detailed list of the past claims has been posted about three times already on this very page.

Tars who?

KIDDING, TT!

Wal-Mart still sucks the sweat off a dead donkey’s balls.

Of course people are going to save themselves and their friends/family first. That’s generally natural as it’s emotional.

But, this:

Would you be understanding if someone else saw YOUR WIFE and/or CHILD as traction in order to save themselves?

Somehow I seriously doubt it.

The traction comment was over-the-top, of course. I didn’t mean to imply I thought that was acceptable.

Twas why I mentioned helping someone up that had fallen in front of me in my post.
