I’m sure it will be one BIG ASS Reset button. Like Archer accidentally goes back in time and trips zephran cochran and he falls and hits his head on a big spaceship/missle and then he forgets what the big money making plan was and limps away then parties till dawn.

TOS was horrible its entire run;TNG was dreck its first two seasons and for a good amount of its last; DS9 took two seasons to become great; and even Voyager had some decent seasons in there somewhere although I can’t say which specifically because my memory of its run is rather hazy.

All four of the other shows had growing pains and Enterprise is no exception. The first season or two very well might have been the worst ever (I didn’t see them) but in season three, it picked up and has become really interesting television just like most of its predecessors did. That so many smug fans wrote it off before when the same thing happened at least twice before is pretty stupid. Sometimes it takes a while for a show to get its legs and ENT finally has.

A number that has a certain infamy in Trek circles I think. For some reason a few people go round trying to work that number into episodes :dubious:

What do you guys think, melted lead, boiling oil, or molten AOL CDs? A favor the AOL option, myself.

AOL CD’s fired point blank while he’s being lowered into a vat of molten lead and being hosed down with boiling oil.

Then removed and rolled in salt.

Trek, like Xtianity :p, has many denominations. And they all lead to Livelongandprosperland. So, I don’t begrudge anyone’s views of which Trek they prefer. And if you prefer no Trek, DON"T WATCH IT!
Now, for an e-mail I received from the Save Enterprise Project:

> [@](#):
>
> [The Enterprise Project](http://www.enterpriseproject.org) sends its thanks
> to UPN, Paramount, and Viacom for announcing the renewal of “Star
> Trek: Enterprise” for a fourth season.
>
> “We’re pleased to hear that they’ve actually listened to the fans,”
> says MJ Rogers, founder of the Project, which is the largest and
> longest-running organized fan group working to keep the show on the
> air. “Although the ratings haven’t been as high as those for some
> other shows, we don’t believe that the ratings accurately reflect the
> show’s viewership, and the outpouring of support for the show
> reflects that.”
>
> Much of that support, for the past year, has come from Enterprise
> Project members who have written to UPN and Paramount, worked at
> science fiction conventions handing out literature and running
> panels, and placed full-page advertisements in the Hollywood Reporter
> supporting the show and demanding its renewal.
>
> Another advertisement from the group and from other Star Trek:
> Enterprise fan groups will run in the weekly edition of Hollywood
> Reporter on May 25, the day before the airing of the season finale.
> This advertisement will thank UPN for renewing the series.
>
> “Trek fans have been reputed to be argumentative and ungrateful in
> the past,” says Rogers. “We want to get rid of that image.”
> The
> Project is also sponsoring a “Thank You” campaign to UPN to let the
> network know that fans appreciate the renewal of the series, which
> was at risk of cancellation.
>
> Rogers says that the credit for lobbying UPN and Viacom goes not only
> to members of Enterprise Project, but to the thousands of fans, both
> in other groups and individually, who have worked to help keep the
> series on the air. Rogers cautions, however, “this doesn’t mean that
> Season Five is guaranteed either. Sometimes the price of Trek is
> eternal vigilance by fans.”
>
> Over forty fan groups have assisted Enterprise Project in sponsoring
> ads and in promoting the show at science fiction conventions in the
> past year, and the Project also thanks them for all of their hard
> work.
>
> This marks the second time in the history of the Star Trek franchise
> that a Trek series was kept on the air after a fan campaign
> successfully persuaded a network to renew the series. The original
> series was to be cancelled after its second season, but the network
> was persuaded to give the series one more year after a fan campaign

So, we _can_ make a difference. Thank you and you’re welcome. 🙂 While they do not allow fan strory submissions, we can still lobby tptb to continue with good story telling and to never let back on board the unholy demons which gave us the first half of Season II.

Good Trek-Fi is a welcome addition to the TV line up we are offered. Sure, not everyone will like it, much less be a fan. But, no one forces anyone to watch. My remote control has _several_ buttons on it. I use them largely to avoid reality shows and talk shows (with a few exceptions).

Support _Firefly_, too. Buy the DVD, go see the movie when released, write FOX to tell them we miss it.

If you want different or “better” Sci-Fi on TV, get involved. Try to make a change. Or…, use that remote.

Oh yeah, go see my site, too. Don’t be afraid of the space cows.

“(whine) A show I don’t like was renewed! Woe is to the world!”

I suspect a lot of folks must have very old TV sets, from before they invented channel selectors and off switches.
