Do you see [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=45286)? I posted it at 10:00 this morning. No responses. I like to think I’m an easy-going guy, so I say, “Well, the few who’ve looked don’t know, and the ones who do haven’t looked yet. Patience, young Skywalker.” At 1:30 [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=45325) goes up at Great Debates, and is transferred to the GQ forum within twenty minutes. It draws three WAGs. My question, meanwhile, has fallen to halfway down the second page. Apparently I don’t rate a response. To Hell with patience, thinks young Skywalker. And to Hell with my long-held belief that people who bump are scum. My older query is going back to the top of the board. I just checked again. A definitive answer has appeared. Not in my thread. The younger one. God damn it! I’ve had posts ignored before, but this is shitty. I can be scooped? What do I have to do to get some fucking service around here? Is there something wrong with me? Is the rule “Fighting ignorance since 1973, except for James, he sucks and we don’t like him”? I know I’m not as smart as you, and will never be an important poster, but Jesus-God-damn-this-shit-to-bloody-mother-fuckin’-Hell, do I deserve no response at all? I’m tired of being crap beneath your shoes. Drop dead, assholes. You suck eight kinds of ass. I’d offer to bash in your brains, rip out your hearts, rip out your guts, and crack your balls, but I doubt you have any of those organs. So just bend WAY over and I’ll kick your big, fat asses. Then maybe I’ll feel better about this shit. ---

I didn’t answer your first one because I had no friggin clue. I was going to answer the second one, if only to ask how two people could independently come up with the same question at the same time. Did you both invent the telephone too? Hey, I’ve got a good question in the GD that is slowly sinking towards the bottom, having garnered two answers in as many days. But if still you insist on having me bend over so you can kick my ass, then yes, you will be feeling some better shit. ---

For starters, try a more descriptive title for the thread. There are too many threads for me to even try opening all of them, so I open threads at random based on intriguing titles. I haven’t been in GQ for a while, but “glug glug” is less descriptive (and hence less likely to catch my attention) than something like…oh for example, “Damn you all to Hell!” Just my two cents. Good rant, by the way. Cracked me up. 😃 ---

I is **so** tempting to just let this thread drop with no replies 😛 Well the younger one has more views. They are quite close in views now but I’d guess that has something to do with this thread. Do you know why more people looked at the other question and thus gave it a better chance of being answered? I’ll tell you. It had a decent title. " glug glug " means nothing. A lot of people have a limited time to look at the boards and they’ll go for the titles that interest them or they think they can answer. ---

Use some goddamned common sense next time when putting a title on something and maybe people will actually check it out.
