I’ve never met anyone who buys muffins here. I suspect they are, in their current incarnation, an American invention, like Chinese food. ---

I know that there are McDonald’s in the UK, do they use the English muffins for the Egg McMuffins there? Or do they even have the Egg McMuffin on the menu? It’s just one of those curious moments, sorry. ETA: McDonald’ses? ---

(When the first British McDonalds opened in Woolwich (1973) they did have it on the menu but it disappeared rapidly… mostly down drains.
