Damn you Brits!

I’ve never met anyone who buys muffins here. I suspect they are, in their current incarnation, an American invention, like Chinese food.

Just bought two packs at my local supermarket - reduced to 10p for a pack of four!

I know that there are McDonald’s in the UK, do they use the English muffins for the Egg McMuffins there? Or do they even have the Egg McMuffin on the menu? It’s just one of those curious moments, sorry.

ETA: McDonald’ses?

lemon curd. mmmmmmmm

Try potato scones. Much the same thing, but thinner, I’d say. Well, given that I view “potato cakes” as just being fatter potato scones, it must work vicky verky, eh? Give it a go, anyway. I hate to think of this whole sad party starving and longing for Lancashire.

Yes, they have Egg McMuffins. I think the major difference is that we don’t have Root Beer. (When the first British McDonalds opened in Woolwich (1973) they did have it on the menu but it disappeared rapidly… mostly down drains. I did find this interesting…

…but now I’m wondering if I can persuade them to put the Maharaja Mac on the menu over here :dubious:

Try greengage curd… even better!
