Damn you Panera!!!

I hate you, ** Mr Bus Guy**. Because of this thread, I went to Panera’s website and used their store locator. That led me to the revelation that there is a Panera in the city I am moving to next semester.

Curses! I was there for two days this weekend and didn’t see it! If it wasn’t for this damn thread I would have never known.

Okay, I don’t hate you. Actually I love you. But only if you send me money every week so I can go get some broccoli cheddar soup in a sourdough bread bowl.

They have many Panera’s in NJ so we’re one up on you. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a $10 Panera gift certificate and a cozy restaurant ten minutes from my house. There’s big bowl of french onion soup, an mouthwatering artichoke panini and a scrumptious loaf of sourdough bread in my near future.

I won’t call it expensive really, but the place is nothing special.

I find it a bit pricey, but not too bad. The one near me is almost always crowded at lunch time.
They do have butter by the way.

Kemi…wasssup…thanks for the nod

Yes fellow Dopers, i do work (manage) for Panera…I started as a baker and worked my way up.

Mr Bus Guy after reading the thread title is was ready to truck on upstate to see how i could intervieen and make your situation a pleasant experience but  you were being your typical joking self. Cool…

thanks for the great comments here and to the naysayers, yes, we do sometimes “miss the mark” but We (Panera/St Louis Bread Company) will ALWAYS strive to rectify the situation.

Thanks for the thread…now i feel like i’m at work. :smack:

sorry for two replies but this is a subject WAY close to my heart…

I am so over whelmed, Dopers get us (Panera)…(uhh I’m sure we can all agree that us Dopers can be a bit ummm critical sometimes).

Our stock is a solid mover and our associates are Authentic and genuine. To be honest sometimes the hardest thing about working here (panera/slbc) is leaving…but i digress.

For anyone that might wanna know…

We started as St. Louis Bread Company…

EVERY baked product if fresh, everyday…in over 850 store nation-wide we donate ALL leftover product at the end of the night to local food shelters/pantries etc…

Since it has been mentioned in this thread…

Panera

kind regards,

tsfr

Okay… got work I should do…

Got a morning off to do it…

I think there’s a bagel and souffle in my future.

So true. We only have an ABC near my office. I went there and asked for a “pick two” and the manager gave me a hard time because they call it a “half and half”.

heh. Ask Hugh Grant what he calls a “half and half”. heh.

Anyway, just to update: This morning started with a Spinach bacon Souffle and a Hot Chocolate while I sat in a comfy chair and pretended I had a fireplace…

Yes, Yes YES!!! Darn you, Panera, darn you to heck. With a dash or three of Chipotle Tabasco and a baguette, it is to die for.

The Pepperblue Steak Sandwich (with Gorgonzola, Grommit!) is pretty darn good; they had better not discontinue that either.

There’s a Panera in Glens Falls?

I’ve been sitting at Panera for about 2.5 hours or so. I’ve had (literally) six cups of coffee. Now Airman is in line getting his lunch.

On the other hand, I did get some of my project written and I ran into my old Spanish prof.

Now I really want to go to Panera for lunch, but there are none around here! I’ll have to go to the one near my parents’ house when I visit them next week. I’ve never had the soup so I’ll have to try that.

Technically it’s in Queensbury. On Route 9 in the plaza across from MCDonald’s and Mr. B’s.

My Panera is next to a Trader Joe’s.

Yum.

Hmmm. While I have never eaten there (too crowded at lunch), our Panera’s is also next door to a bike shop and across the street from an Adult Entertainment Emporium. Is this a chain strategy of some type?

The only thing keeping Panera from complete perfection is lack of a drive-through.

I know, I know.

But it’s true.

My Trader Joe’s is between a Barnes & Noble and a Pier One. It’s very dangerous for me to go there. I could stay all day.

Panera is working on the “drive through” concept. in fact there are two so far, that i know of; Wentzville MO and Cape Giraudeau(sp) MO…

Road Trip!!!
