Oh, you think your husband won’t just keep spouting the same joke over and over and over and over and over again? Hell, I’ve only been married 13 long years and I’ve told my wife the same joke dozens of times. That would be the joke about the travelling salesman who couldn’t afford a prositute, so had to settle for a duck. ---

If anyone’s going to be telling corny jokes in my household it’s going to be ME. And goddamnit, I make an effort to bring a new corny joke home almost EVERY day, so he better not be telling me the same joke for years. 😉 ---

//hijack: Also why does the mouse-over pop-up stay there only for 10 secs or even less?? And once it has vanished, it won’t come back on again until a specified time has elapsed. Quite irritating to see something vanish just when you are reading it, and reading it becomes even more difficut expecting it to vanish any time. //hijack off. Carry on. ---

I hate it when the entire OP can be read by the mouse over. Oh and am I the only person who, when visiting other websites will place the mouse on an article link and wait to see the popup? Thanks a lot SDMB for ruining the internet. ---

Seriously though, the mouseover preview is new in vB 3.0, and we’ve only had that for a few months now. Somehow, the boards were just fine for five years without it. ---

Being a Firefox user, I only see the first ten or so words of a post on the mouse over so it’s of no use to me whatsoever and I still have to click open all threads that look the least bit interesting which leaves me open to lots of dissapointment. Ramble away. Won’t matter a whit to me. ---

We the people (did I ever tell you about some of the people I work with? Hoo boy! There’s this one woman who talks about nothing but…eh? Oh, yes…), in order to form a more perfect union (speaking of unions, did you see where the NFL is going on strike this fall? Yeah, buncha money-grubbin’ good-for-nothings…what? Oh, right…), establish justice (boy, wasn’t Janet Jackson HAWT in Sweet Justice? Man, that woman can…oh, wait…), insure domestic tranquility (oh, yeah…I just signed up for this meditation class that’s supposed to make me more focused and peaceful, but it’s really not working that well. My mind keeps going off in a thousand different directi…um…sorry), provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare (they caught another welfare cheat today, did you see that? Some woman claiming 6 kids but really three of them were hamsters. Let’s see three hamsters put away $150 of food a week!) and secure the blessings of liberty, for ourselves and our posterity (posterity? Why are we talking about my butt? Does it look fat? Do you really think so? Maybe if I wore black…) do ordain and establish this Constitution (oh, we went to Boston last summer for vacation, spent the day on board the Constitution. They call her “Old Ironsides”, which I don’t really understand since her sides are made of wood, like the rest of her, and…right. sorry) of the United States of America. _bows_ ---

I’m with the OP (of this thread). If the OP (of the thread I’m mousing over) isn’t anywhere near the point within the pop-up that comes up, I’m not bothering to read it. I get enough rambling questions from customers without getting them here too. I also do the mouseover thing at different websites. Phooey. ---
