Who the hell is Tom Bodette when he’s not doing Motel 6 ads? Am I supposed to have heard of him? I can’t even describe how irritating those ads are “We’ll leave a light on for ya” ARRRGH!!! FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU DIE DIE DIE DIE D I E DIIIIIIEEEEE!!! ---

I’m surprised MENTOS haven’t been mentioned. Those things drive me nutty! Everybody is crawling around with smiles and apparently in their world it’s ok to go through someones car. I would personally shove that little roll of Mentos up your @%##$% if you did that. But that’s just me. ---

The exception proving the rule, I don’t remember the foodie dotcom that perpetrates these abominations, but the commercials all feature obnoxious people, _revolting_ looking food and the most grating, weird, rip-your-ears-off music. One spot shows distinctly unhappy-looking people shoving one another around a kitchen and staggering to the table with huge platters filled with something that looks like steaming offal. Another shows an inane couple on a patio proudly creating their prized recipe: enormous hamburgers the size of Pirelli tires, only less appetizing. I’ll never understand the psychology of making the end product repellent. Veb ---

Cumberbunk, have you ever seen the Foo Fighters video for the song “Big Me”? I haven’t the faintest idea how the song goes, because the video makes me laugh so hard I can’t hear the music. It’s a great spoof of several Mentos commercials. Ads I hate: All of them. Hrm, but I probably hate some more than others. Let’s see… - the radio ad for some .com where this guy tries to get a reservation at a restaurant by explaining that he’s the brother-in-law to the chef’s frat brother’s niece’s dentist or something like that. It makes me want to break the radio. - Tom Shane’s voice. Need I say more? - Paul from the Diamond Center. I haven’t seen one of those for a long time, but I - and every other Bay Area resident, probably - remember those ads with horror. - psychic hotline ads on the Prevue channel. - ads for anything on Fox Family Channel on the Prevue channel. - all of them. - informercials. All infomercials. - car commercials. God, I hate car commericals. They’re all the same, and they’re all stupid! Look at me, I’m driving around in the middle of the desert/water/wheat fields/mountains. Like anyone ever drives in any of those places. - perfume ads. I saw the Calvin Klein He/She ad today, and it made me want to puke. Thats all for now. I guess. I really hate ads. ---

The one I hate is the one on spanish TV, with the young Hispanic couple w/ a truck, suddenly arriving in the past & helping the Aztecs build a temple or something. The next scene should be the priest ripping their hearts out w/ an obsidian knife! My local NBC sta runs CONSTANT commercials for any made-for-tv “special”, so much so, that by the time the “special” comes around we are so sick of it that they couldn’t PAY us to watch!
